The objectives of Guild Members are to serve the public reliably, efficiently, and provide the highest quality of workmanship in all aspects of the service they provide.
Members will at all times uphold the dignity of "International Wedding Guild".
Members should be competent/qualified/trained in their profession and be able to supply references to the public if requested.
Members will provide suitable documentation i.e. invoices, receipts, contracts. Relevant to the services provided.
Members will respect client confidentiality, and where records are kept, should ensure compliance with the Data Protection Act of 1984.
Members should use the International Wedding Guild name and logo - advertising their membership where possible e.g. Exhibitions, web sites, shops etc. At all times members will be expected to be loyal to the aims and objectives of International Wedding Guild.
Members shall promote and assist each other by recommending fellow Member's services, for the benefit of “International Wedding Guild” and the general public.
In the unlikely event of a dispute between a member of the public and a Wedding Guild member, Wedding Guild reserves the right to suspend said membership, pending an enquiry and a satisfactory conclusion. Should arbitration become necessary it is expected that both parties shall abide by the decision reached, including any settlement costs if appropriate, for which International Wedding Guild at no time shall be held liable.
Any member that fails to abide by International Wedding Guild code of conduct or brings the good name of International Wedding Guild into disrepute will have their membership terminated.
International Wedding Guild reserves the right to decline new membership or renewal of membership without further explanation.
